Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov: US waging war against Russia
From RT – Washington’s massive campaign to support Ukraine with arms amounts to a war against Russia, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, adding that the US has long groomed Kiev for this very purpose.
In a comment to Russian reporter Pavel Zarubin released on Sunday, Lavrov suggested that rumors about Washington possibly giving the green light to the delivery of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), which have a range of up to 300km, were aimed at “shaping public opinion.”

Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS, are “on the table” for a future aid package, a second official told ABC. The reported decision to send ACAMS missiles to Ukraine, if confirmed, would follow a longstanding Western pattern of initially refusing to supply Kyiv with certain high-profile weapons only to reverse course as the war drags on.
According to Lavrov, these deliberations would not change the fact that “for many years Ukraine has been groomed to fight with its hands and bodies in order to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.”
Lavrov accused the US of controlling the hostilities between Kiev and Moscow.
In recent weeks, several Western media outlets have reported that the US administration is edging closer to approving deliveries of the ATACMS, which Kiev has been requesting for several months. The US has been reluctant to approve sending these missile systems, arguing that potential Ukrainian strikes deep into Russia could trigger a major escalation in the conflict.
Ukraine has already received long-range missiles from the UK and France, which, according to local officials, have been used to attack civilian targets and infrastructure in Russia’s Crimean Peninsula and Donbass.
While the US has yet to grant Kiev’s request for ATACMS, it has committed more than $43 billion in military aid to Ukraine since the conflict began, including air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and M1 Abrams tanks.
Moscow has repeatedly warned the West against supplying Ukraine with arms, saying that doing so will only prolong the conflict but will not change its ultimate outcome.
U.S. Lacks Key Military Weapon Compared To Top Adversaries: Report – China tested a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile in the summer of 2021 that traveled at speeds of more than 15,000 miles an hour — at least 20 times the speed of sound. The U.S. is now pouring billions into its defense budget and making serious efforts in reaching out to key players in the private sector to help fix the problem. While the U.S. still has by far the most powerful military in the world, hypersonic technology in the hands of Russia and China can quickly “alter the strategic balance that has long undergirded U.S. defense policy,” the report said, because they could “challenge that superiority by evading U.S. early warning systems designed to detect attacks on North America, or striking U.S. naval assets, including aircraft carriers, as well as key bases abroad.”
China and Russia dominating the hypersonic arms race; and it’s not even close – Earlier this year, Russia fired its newest and most dangerous weapon from the belly of a MiG-31 fighter jet. The Kinzhal and missiles like it are at the tip of a technological revolution in weapon development.
All Russian military equipment is now being battle-tested in Ukraine. Like the Krasukha-S4 self-propelled electronic warfare (EW) system, which is designed to jam enemy electronic surveillance and which reportedly jammed the systems of F-22 and F-35s.
Meet: ‘Krasukha’: Russia’s New Unrivalled Electronic Warfare System – The Krasukha-S4 is created to render spy satellites, ground-based radars, and airborne systems completely ineffective. It achieves this by generating jamming signals that target core radar frequencies and other radio-emitting sources. The main purpose of the Krasukha system is to protect command posts, troops and air defenses from aerial reconnaissance and high-precision weapons. The EW system closely interacts with air defense systems, which destroy an enemy object after receiving its location from Krasukha-S4.
