UKRAINE has a fresh warning for Vladimir Putin – his beloved, £3 billion Crimean Bridge “is doomed”.
Ukraine’s security service, the SBU, told The Sun that its army of cheap, homegrown Sea Baby drones will be essential to the plot to take the 12-mile monster down.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, an SBU general – who goes by his call sign “Hunter” for security reasons – warned that far more was to come.
He declared that throughout the rest of 2024, “the Security Service is preparing further surprises for the enemy, including those with sea drones”.
Hunter did not divulge exactly what this will entail, but left one major clue.
“The Crimean Bridge is doomed,” he said.

Moscow has accused the U.S. and other allies of Ukraine of preparing strikes on Crimea, warning that in such a scenario, there would be “retaliation.”
Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Friday that the Crimean bridge was “again under attack.”
Over the course of the war, there have been repeated strikes on the bridge, also known as the Kerch Bridge. The structure for Kyiv symbolizes Russian occupation but is also a key link to transport Moscow’s troops and equipment to the frontline and a strike on it could impact its war effort.
As well as the bridge, Ukraine has also stepped up its attacks on Russian naval assets in the wider region with repeated strikes on vessels and infrastructure belonging to the Black Sea Fleet.

Cameron promised £3 billion of annual military aid for Ukraine for “as long as it takes” on Thursday, adding that London had no objection to its weapons being used inside Russia.
Cameron’s comments put Britain in a more hawkish position towards Russia – at least publicly – than the United States, which stipulates that any weapons it supplies to Ukraine should only be used within Ukraine’s internationally-recognised borders rather than against targets inside Russia itself.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described Cameron’s comments as dangerous.
“This is a direct escalation of tension around the Ukrainian conflict, which could potentially pose a danger to European security, to the entire European security architecture,” he said.
Russia warns Britain it could strike back after Cameron remark on Ukraine – Russia’s foreign ministry said the Cameron remarks recognised that Britain was now de facto a part of the conflict and contradicted an earlier assurance that long-range weapons given to Ukraine would not be used against Russia. The Russians are now talking about using tactical nukes.

Russia says it shot down four U.S.-made long range missiles over Crimea – 4 May 2024 – The Russian defence ministry said its air defence forces shot down four U.S.-produced long-range missiles over the Crimea peninsular, weapons known as Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) that Washington has shipped to Ukraine in recent weeks. The ministry said later that Russian aircraft and air defence systems had downed a total of 15 ATACMS in the past week.

Russia accused the United States of inciting Ukraine to escalate the war by condoning attacks on Crimea, warning that Washington was now directly involved in the conflict because “crazy people” had dreams of defeating Russia.
Moscow was responding to comments by U.S. Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland who said the United States considers that Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, should be demilitarised at a minimum and that Washington supports Ukrainian attacks on military targets on the peninsula.
“Now the American warmongers have gone even further: They incite the Kyiv regime to further escalate the war,” Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian foreign ministry, told reporters when asked about Nuland’s remarks.
“They supply weapons in huge quantities, provide intelligence and participate directly in the planning of combat operations,” Zakharova said, adding that some U.S. officials dreamed like “crazies” of defeating Russia.
Crimea, which includes the port of Sevastopol where Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is based, is seen by Western and Russian diplomats as the biggest potential flashpoint of the Ukraine war.
President Vladimir Putin casts Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine as an existential battle with an aggressive and arrogant West, and has said that Russia will use all available means to protect itself and its people.
